My sensors have not updated information for a long time

Some sensors communicate informations with the YS PRO (temperature, humidity or VOC). To know which sensors communicate these datas, go to List of YS PRO accessories

On the app these informations will appear on your dashboard with the time of the last update.

To extend their battery life, YS PRO accessories are implemented with smart functions. The sensors are constantly monitoring their environment but will only send the information if the message is relevant. A message is considered relevant if a change is detected (intrusion, temperature change, etc...).

It is therefore "normal" for a sensor not always to update its information at the same frequency.

 

If your sensor hasn't update its information from more than 12 hours, it may be disconnected from your YS PRO. In this case:

1. Verify the zigbee wireless connection on your YS PRO

Log into your YS PRO and go to Wireless Accessories

In the list, search for your sensor and look at its signal strength .

If the signal is not empty, contact us

If the signal strengh is empty, your accessory is disconnected from YS PRO.

2. Try bringing the sensor closer to the YS PRO unit

The distance between the accessory and the YS PRO might be too big, bring the accessory next to the YS PRO main unit and wait for 4 hours.

Login on your YS PRO and go to Wireless Accessories.

If the signal strength is now positive, your accessory was installed too far. Install the accessory closer to the YS PRO unit or buy a range extender from our website or our distributors.

Tips: when choosing a place for your sensor, always check the signal strength to make sure it is not too far.

3. Check the battery state of your sensor

If your sensor has been installed a long time ago, it is possible that its battery is empty.

Login on your YS PRO and go to Wireless Accessories

Look at the battery state    of your accessory. If the battery state is zero (empty), replace the batteries of your accessory. Wait for 4 hours after the replacement and check again the signal strength and the battery state  on the YS PRO screen.
