YS PRO can be used as a WIFI router onboard, this will bring you a fast internet connection.
This article will help you configurate your YS PRO as a WIFI hotspot. To use YS PRO as a WIFI hotspot you will need a SIM card with allowing internet data in the region you are located.
YS PRO can also be used as a "range extender" of an other internet source (ex: Starlink). If you wish to use this configuration, check our article Configure your WIFI hotspot (via range extender)
1. Insert a SIM card into YS PRO
To insert your SIM card, unscrew the SIM card spot and insert your SIM card following the drawing below. The format requested for the SIM card is Micro SIM.
2. Access the SIM Settings page
On your YS PRO screen, select Connectivity Settings.
Switch Internet Connection ON and choose SIM (see below).
-Click on the blue button SIM Settings
3. Delete your SIM pin
(Skip if there is no pin on your SIM)
To be used by YS PRO, the pin of your SIM card needs to be deleted first. Once deleted, the SIM card will not request a pin anymore, even if inserted in an other device. A SIM pin can always be added again later via a phone or an other device with this functionnality.
Once you are on the SIM Settings page, press on the button Delete SIM pin.
A page will appear, enter your current SIM pin and continue. Your SIM pin will be deleted.
4. Reload your SIM
To activate your SIM in the YS PRO, you will have to reload it manually. This step will automatically obtain your SIM APN configuration to allow YS PRO to connect to the SIM card.
Before proceeding, make sure that the function Automatic APN selection is ON.
Then press the button Reload SIM.
The process will take few minutes and bring you back to the Mobile Network Settings page. Press Save and your SIM is now configured.
5. Activate the WIFI hotspot
Your SIM source is configured, you need now to activate the WIFI hotpsot to be able to connect to the network from an externat device.
Go back to the Connectivity Settings menu.
Turn on the WIFI hotspot to activate it. You can edit its name and password by pressing the button WI-FI Hotspot Settings.
